PR's:

  • Marathon 3:39
  • Half-marathon 1:37
  • 15k 1:06
  • 10k 42:00? (it was 42 something but not sure, it was a while ago)
  • 5k 20:14

Short-Term Running Goals:

My primary goal right now is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. My age group qualifying time is 3:30:59.  I finished this years Disney Marathon in 3:39:10.  My next marathon will be the Chicago Marathon in October.

Long-Term Running Goals:

At this point I just want to continually improve my times.  Really long term goal is to remain competitive in what ever age group I'm in.

I just missed my goal of sub 1:36 but I still finished the Gasparilla half in a new PR of 1:37:15.  I had something left at the end but I’m not sure it was enough to have run 1:15 faster.   I still have a long way to go but when I set a PR after almost every race I know I’m doing something right.

Overall it was another well run race. The start temp was in the low 50’s which is about perfect for me.  There was a little headwind when running north on Bayshore to the finish but it probably didn’t affect my time more than a few seconds.

Congratulations on your PR! Next time pick it up with several miles to go if you are feeling good, you never want to leave gas in the tank when there is a race.

Sweet PR to improve on. 200 commando points for the PR.

From reading your running resume, you have the experience and base to get much faster if you are ready make it happen.
